The history of the Florida Caverns is almost as fascinating as the geological components that make the Florida State Park a must visit! When the property was accquires men and women were employed to build out the park during the Great Depression as part of the CCC and WPA programs. The property finally opened to the public 1942. Visitors who come to the Florida Caverns State Park get to explore the mezmorizing ccaverns, take a dip in Blue Hole Spring, camping, boating - pretty much all of your favorite Florida activities!
