Less than a quarter mile from Florida's state Capitol building are 24 acres of lush gardens and waterways that make up Cascades Park.

The namesake and one of the main features of the park is a nod to the founding of Florida's offical capital in the early 1800s. A delagate from Pensacola and one delegate from St. Augustine met halfway between their respective cities at a cascading waterfall and deemed this location the new state capital - a place we now call Tallahassee. Enjoy over 2 miles of walking trails, see some music at the Adderley Amphitheater or grab a bite at The Edison (located inside Tallahassee's electric and light plant building from the 1920s - so cool!).
